Hi.

Style Tip: Rolled-Up Pants

Style Tip: Rolled-Up Pants

Cuffed up pants is embedded in Scandinavian style. Its something we've been doing ever since were kids and its second nature to us. However, this trend hit the international runways 2 years ago and we see it everywhere now. There are many confused gents out there having trouble nailing the look. The topic of most emails I receive is: How to cuff your pants properly & what types of shoes to wear with cuffed pants?

Cuffing your pant legs adds an innate Scandinavian-cool to almost any casual outfit and can perfectly accent your kicks. But there’s method to a cuff, and it starts when you buy a pair of pants.

Straight leg or boot cut pants won't work. The pants must be slim fit with a tapered leg and low crotch-cut to ensure the most comfortable fit.

Get them with your normal length and roll them up twice or three times, until they are 2 inches above your ankle bone ( make sure to smooth out the roles as you make each fold).

Pair them up with loafers, slippers, slip-on skates and slim-fit high top sneakers including converse. Stay away from chunky shoes.

In todays outfit I wearing cuffed up chinos, with a light blue dress shirt and high-top sneakers in Camel.  Theres nothing fresher this fall than Camel color.   The era of clean sneakers is here and Massimo Torlasco takes the high tops to the heights of luxury. I love these high tops because of their minimal design: the thin soles, the ultra soft Italian leather and the rich camel color is the perfect canvas to combine with any neutral colored outfit.
